Elite Wheels
The Drive Grava line from Elite Wheels is aimed at gravel cyclists looking for high-performance wheels with advanced materials, good stiffness, power efficiency, and compatibility with mixed terrains (including gravel tracks and roads as well as light pavement). Within this range, you can find several models designed for different usage profiles and performance levels:
Featured models in the Drive Grava series
Drive G36
A wheelset aimed at gravel with a rim profile around 36 mm, designed to offer lightness and versatility on varied terrain. These wheels allow setups with fairly wide gravel tires, combine stiffness with riding comfort, and use durable components. Weight: 1325 ± 30 g
Drive G45 SS
A gravel version with a slightly taller profile (around 45 mm), providing better aerodynamic performance and good stability at higher speeds or with loads. They are built with carbon rims, hubs with ceramic bearings, and an optimized spoke pattern (for example 20 spokes front / 24 spokes rear), making them suitable for demanding gravel. Weight: 1370 ± 30 g
Drive G45 CS
A similar version to the G45 SS but with some improvements in the hub system (such as a 4-pawl mechanism) that can offer a slightly different response feel and greater robustness on rougher terrain. Weight: 1300 ± 30 g
Drive Six Gravel
A wheelset with a very distinctive design of six one-piece carbon spokes that maximizes stiffness and power transfer, resulting in an efficient wheel for hard gravel and quick accelerations. These wheels usually have a wider internal width and offer good traction capacity on mixed surfaces.
Common features of the Drive Grava line
-
Wide tire compatibility: allows mounting tires from light gravel to larger models (for example 28–65 mm or even wider on some models), making them versatile for different conditions.
-
Use of high-quality carbon: rims made from carbon fiber that reduce weight and improve the overall stiffness of the wheelset.
-
Design intended for disc brakes: all Drive Grava models are prepared for disc brakes (usually Center Lock interface), reflecting current trends in gravel bikes.
-
Optimized spoke and hub configurations: spoke patterns adapted for a balance between stiffness and vibration absorption, and hubs with ceramic or high-quality bearings for smooth rotation.
-
Appropriate certifications and weight limits: many models are certified and support heavier riders (for example up to about ~125–130 kg).
Benefits for gravel
-
They allow mounting wider tires with good stability and traction.
-
Ideal for mixed routes combining dirt, tracks, and pavement.
-
Balanced wheels for fast gravel, adventure, or long rides.
-
A model matrix ranging from lighter and more agile options (like the G36) to more aero or stiff options (G45, G45 CS, Drive Six).
