Warranty and technical service
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This policy regulates the legal warranty, commercial warranties, and technical service of products purchased on Raceit.cc and sold by COMERTECH RACEIT, S.L.
The legal rights set out in this policy apply to individuals who purchase as consumers. Purchases made by companies or professionals for purposes related to their economic activity may be subject to different conditions.
1. Warranty responsibility
Raceit is the seller and responds directly to the consumer for the lack of conformity of products sold on Raceit.cc.
Although Raceit may collaborate with the manufacturer, distributor, supplier, or official technical service to diagnose and resolve an issue, the consumer's legal rights against Raceit will not depend on these third parties accepting the claim beforehand.
The customer will not be obliged to manage a warranty directly with a manufacturer or supplier located outside Spain.
2. Duration of the legal warranty
New products sold to consumers have a legal warranty of three years from the moment of delivery.
During the two years following delivery, it will be presumed, unless proven otherwise and when compatible with the nature of the product or defect, that the lack of conformity that manifests already existed when the product was delivered.
The action to claim the enforcement of rights derived from the lack of conformity expires five years from when it manifests, according to current regulations.
3. What is considered a lack of conformity
A product may be considered non-compliant, among other cases, when:
- It does not correspond to the description, model, or advertised characteristics.
- It does not have the quality, functionality, durability, or safety reasonably expected.
- It is not suitable for the usual uses of products of the same type.
- It is not suitable for a specific purpose communicated by the customer and accepted by Raceit before purchase.
- It does not include the accessories, instructions, or items indicated in the purchase.
- It does not match a sample, model, or version presented before purchase.
- It has a manufacturing defect.
- It does not offer the advertised compatibility or interoperability.
- It is delivered incorrectly when installation was part of the contract.
- The installation instructions provided by Raceit or the manufacturer are incorrect and cause faulty installation.
- In products with digital elements, necessary updates are not provided in legally required cases.
4. Situations that do not constitute non-conformity
The legal warranty does not cover problems caused directly by:
- Normal wear resulting from use and the reasonable lifespan of the product.
- Lack of maintenance.
- Incorrect, abusive, or contrary use to the instructions.
- Accidents, bumps, falls, or impacts after delivery.
- Improper storage.
- Use of the product under conditions for which it was not designed.
- Incorrect installation or adjustment performed by the customer or third parties.
- Unauthorized modifications that directly caused the failure.
- Repairs incorrectly performed by persons outside Raceit or the technical service that caused the defect.
- Use together with incompatible components when such incompatibility was clearly informed before purchase.
- Purely aesthetic damages that were reported and expressly accepted before completing the purchase.
These circumstances will only exclude the warranty when there is a connection between the action or cause indicated and the claimed defect.
Intervention by an independent workshop or loss of the original packaging does not automatically void the warranty.
Consumable or wear-prone components are also covered against manufacturing defects, although not against normal wear from use.
5. Manufacturer’s commercial warranties
Some products may include an additional commercial warranty offered by the manufacturer, such as four-year, five-year, or lifetime warranties.
These commercial warranties:
- They are additional to the legal warranty.
- They do not replace or reduce the consumer’s rights against Raceit.
- They may be subject to registration, maintenance, use, or specific manufacturer conditions.
- They will have the duration and coverage indicated in the product sheet or in the documentation provided.
When there is a commercial warranty, Raceit will provide the customer with the available information and assist in processing it. The customer may also contact the guarantor directly if preferred.
The term “lifetime warranty” will be interpreted according to the specific conditions established by the manufacturer and does not necessarily imply the buyer’s entire lifetime.
6. How to report an incident
To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must write to:
info@raceit.cc
The following must be provided whenever possible:
- Buyer's name.
- Order number.
- Affected product.
- Detailed description of the issue.
- Approximate date when the problem appeared.
- Photographs or videos that allow identification.
- Serial number, when the product has one.
- Information about the bicycle, components, or devices with which it is used.
- Tests or checks performed.
It will not be mandatory to keep or present the original packaging to exercise the legal warranty.
It will also not be necessary to present a paper invoice when Raceit can locate and verify the purchase using the order number or other data provided by the customer.
7. Confirmation and Evaluation of the Claim
Raceit will confirm receipt of the claim and provide a tracking number or reference.
The first response will be provided as soon as possible and, in any case, within the maximum legally applicable period for customer service. The final technical resolution may require more time when it is necessary to inspect the product or consult with the technical service.
Raceit may request reasonable diagnostic evidence, such as photographs, videos, error logs, or basic checks.
These requests must be proportional, safe, and necessary to identify the issue. The customer is not required to disassemble, manipulate, or test a product when doing so may be dangerous or cause additional damage.
8. Shipping to Technical Service
When it is necessary to physically examine the product, Raceit will provide the instructions and the corresponding shipping address.
The customer must not send the product directly to a manufacturer, supplier, or technical service without having previously received instructions from Raceit.
When the issue may be covered by the legal warranty, Raceit will cover the necessary costs of collection, shipping, and transportation.
The product must be sent properly protected and include the necessary accessories to perform the diagnosis. Raceit will indicate which items must be included.
If after inspection it is concluded that the issue is not covered and the customer requests a paid repair, Raceit will provide prior information about the diagnosis, estimate, and costs. No paid repair will be carried out without the customer's express acceptance.
9. Repair or Replacement
When the product is non-compliant, the consumer has the right to choose between repair or replacement, unless one of the options:
- Be impossible.
- Impose disproportionate costs on Raceit compared to the alternative.
- Not be carried out if it causes significant inconvenience to the consumer.
The repair or replacement must:
- Be free of charge to the consumer.
- Be completed within a reasonable time frame.
- Be carried out without major inconvenience to the consumer.
- Include necessary shipping, transportation, labor, parts, and materials costs.
Raceit will recover the replaced product at its own expense.
The consumer shall not pay any amount for normal use before the replacement.
10. Installed products
When the repair or replacement affects a product that was correctly installed before the defect appeared, Raceit will assume, when legally applicable:
- The removal of the non-compliant product.
- The installation of the repaired or replaced product.
- The reasonable costs necessary to carry out such operations.
Before contracting a workshop or carrying out a repair on their own, the customer must contact Raceit so we can assess the issue and authorize the action, unless there is an urgent safety-related situation.
Lack of prior authorization will not automatically eliminate the consumer's rights, but Raceit will only be obliged to cover costs that are necessary, reasonable, proven, and legally enforceable.
11. Repair time frame
Raceit will carry out the repair or replacement within a reasonable time frame, taking into account:
- The nature and complexity of the product.
- The severity of the defect.
- The availability of parts.
- The necessary transportation.
- The involvement of a specialized technical service.
- The purpose for which the consumer needs the product.
Raceit will keep the customer informed when a significant delay occurs.
While the product is available to Raceit for repair or replacement, the warranty period will be suspended under the terms legally established.
12. Price reduction or contract termination
The consumer may request a proportional price reduction or contract termination when, among other cases:
- The repair or replacement is impossible or disproportionate.
- Raceit has not completed the repair or replacement.
- The solution has not been carried out within a reasonable time frame.
- The solution causes significant inconvenience to the consumer.
- The defect reappears after attempting to bring the product into compliance.
- The non-compliance is sufficiently serious.
- Raceit communicates that it will not resolve the problem within a reasonable time.
Contract termination will not proceed when the non-compliance is minor. It will be Raceit's responsibility to prove that the defect is minor when intending to apply this limitation.
The price reduction will be proportional to the difference between the value the product would have if compliant and the value of the product received.
13. Warranty refunds
When contract termination applies, Raceit will refund the price paid after receiving the product or after the customer provides proof of its return.
The return of the product will be at Raceit's expense.
The refund will be made:
- Without undue delay.
- Within 14 calendar days from when Raceit is informed of the consumer's decision to exercise this right.
- Using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise expressly agreed.
- At no cost to the consumer.
14. Damage during transport
Damage occurring before the customer physically receives the order is the responsibility of Raceit and should not be processed as a fault caused by the consumer.
We recommend reporting visible damage within the first 48 hours and keeping photos of the packaging, labels, and product to facilitate claims with the carrier.
This period is only a recommendation. Failure to communicate within the first 48 hours does not eliminate the consumer's legal rights.
15. Products that may affect safety
If the defect may affect safety, especially in frames, wheels, handlebars, forks, brakes, structural components, electrical products, or pressure systems, the customer must stop using the product immediately.
The customer must not perform tests that could risk their integrity, that of third parties, or cause additional damage.
Raceit may request the immobilization, return, or withdrawal of the product and will provide specific instructions.
16. Updates for products with digital elements
When a product includes software, firmware, or digital services necessary for its operation, Raceit and, when applicable, the manufacturer will provide or inform about the required updates during the applicable legal period.
The customer must install the provided updates within a reasonable time after being informed of their availability and the consequences of not installing them.
Raceit will not be liable for non-conformity caused exclusively by failure to install a properly provided update, provided the customer received the necessary information and the installation did not fail due to deficiencies in the instructions.
17. Spare parts and technical service
Where legally applicable, Raceit will provide access to spare parts and repair services during the periods required by regulations.
Specific availability will depend on the manufacturer, product, and nature of the part.
Raceit may provide repair or maintenance services not covered by the warranty. In these cases, a prior estimate will be provided that must be expressly accepted by the customer.
18. Technical advice
Raceit offers pre- and post-purchase advice on:
- Component compatibility.
- Measurements and specifications.
- Installation and adjustment.
- Use and maintenance.
- Updates.
- Warranty claims.
- Manufacturer's technical information.
Advice will be based on the information provided by the customer and the available technical documentation.
The customer must provide complete and accurate information about their bicycle, components, or devices. When installation requires specialized knowledge or may affect safety, we recommend consulting a qualified workshop or professional.
19. Difference between warranty and withdrawal
The legal warranty applies when the product has a defect or does not conform to the contract.
The right of withdrawal allows the consumer to return certain products within 14 calendar days after receipt, even if there is no defect.
Returns due to change of mind will be handled according to the returns and exchanges policy.
Delays, losses, and the additional 60-day delivery guarantee are regulated in the shipping and delivery times policy.
